We are a very small start up company eager to please our customers.  I have over 20 years of experience owning and operating a 5 star automotive repair business and real-estate investment company.  Upon selling portions of my real-estate portfolio I decided I would like to make a change.  Part of my current portfolio is about 80 plus acres of raw land.  The land is overgrown with brush and small saplings making large portions of it unusable.  In calling around to get help cleaning up the property I found it very difficult to get a straight forward quote without having to meet someone at the property located several hours away, which always proved to be more trouble than it was worth as their quotes were incredibly high. In fact, many times the quotes I got were more than what I paid for the land. Without exception, every company made it sound like rocket science rather than land clearing. I have always enjoyed working with brush and dirt moving equipment, so I thought why not change careers? I am confident I can make the overall experience easier and cheaper than the competition. 


While we are based in Savoy, Texas we are willing to travel depending on the size of the job.  Brush hogging is our primary business, however we do have a track steer and a small excavator along with our trusty tractor equipped with a full size front loader.  If it can be done with a tractor we are your company.  Brush hogging, driveway grading, pad site preparation and gravel drives are some of our most common jobs.  Customer satisfaction is our only goal and we will do what it takes to get that "5 star" review!

How we do it

While most companies want to meet you at the property to asses pricing, we have found google maps/google earth tells us almost everything we need to know.  Google maps/google earth, plus information obtained from the land owner usually gives us 95% of the information we need.  The rest can be assessed when we arrive at the property.  This allows us to give an accurate quote without having to visit the property.   Working this way allows us to provide services in areas that would traditionally be too far away for the average company.  Obviously there are exceptions and we are more than happy to come assess a site in person at no charge.


Pricing

As we stated earlier, brush hogging really isn't rocket science. This is why we do not charge by the hour as many companies do. Once we arrive at the property both parties will agree on an exact price before we get started.  If we underbid, that's our problem, not yours. There are only a few factors we need to consider. Topography - Is the land flat, or does it have steep grades?  Obstacles - Does it have trees, rocks, trash and other objects that could damage the mower?  Water - Is there water on the property?  Does it contain marshland or muddy areas where the tractor could get stuck?  Getting to the property - Is the property easily accessible or is a 4 wheel drive needed?


All of that said our typical mowing rate for a fully accessible property with minimal trees and average terrain is $50 per acre.  We discount our rate for larger tracts of land on a sliding scale which is posted below.  The larger the job, the lower the rate.
